Planning a wine tasting tour in Sonoma or Napa Valley? Here are straight answers to the questions we hear most.
Planning your day
How many wineries can I visit in a day?
Most winery experiences are 70 to 90 minutes, and we recommend three winery visits. A perfect day is three wineries along with a lunch stop.
What’s your favorite winery?
All of the wines in the region are good or great, so it’s about the people and the property that make a winery an experience you’ll remember forever.
Do you assist with making the appointments?
Yes. We can help plan your wine touring day and make the reservations. A credit card will need to be provided when securing appointments.
Do wineries have food?
Not many offer food, but we have some great elevated wine and food pairing spots.
Can we bring outside food to a winery?
Outside food is not permitted at most wineries, but we have some great spots that will allow a picnic lunch.
Costs
How much does a tour cost?
Tours are priced by the hour and by vehicle: a 6-passenger Lincoln Navigator is $100 to $125 per hour, an 8-passenger Mercedes Sprinter van is $130 to $140 per hour, and an 11-passenger Sprinter is $135 to $150 per hour. See Fleet & Rates.
How much are the tasting fees at the winery?
It depends on the type of experience you’re looking for, but they can run from $25 to $250.
Are tasting fees included in the price?
No, but we have great winery partners that offer our clients complimentary or discounted fees. Some wineries will also waive the tasting fee with a minimum purchase or for joining a wine club.
Vehicles & pickup
What type of vehicles do you have?
We have luxury Lincoln SUVs along with an 8-passenger Mercedes and an 11-passenger Mercedes Sprinter van.
Can you pick us up at our hotel or Airbnb?
Yes, we’ll pick you up at your desired location, anywhere in the Sonoma or Napa Valley region.
Do you pick up in San Francisco?
We can pick you up in San Francisco. There are extra travel fees associated with it.
